I don't mean to waffle, but could anyone give me advice how/if you can 'restart' your game and its saved progress. If I can remember, I had less than 10 Silver Lions before I finally uninstalled the game. I lost more of my currency just from the upkeep and ammunition/munitions that these mods were costing me on my tanks and and for my vehicles getting just destroyed. I also gradually spent money on modifications and then I went through another losing streak.

Now I no longer even speak to this person, and also through my constant losses and instant deaths I lost so many Silver Lions that when I did start to win after no longer playing with this other person, (which ook a very long time) I had a balance of about 150,000 Silver Lions, to which I foolishly spent it on drivers and pilots for every nation and very quickly ran out of Silver Lions again. This happened because as we were in a squad, our vehicle rating would be added up to go against vehicles that were most of the time twice as powerful as ours. However, what I want is to still be able to play this game whilst having it linked to my Steam account and the reason why I uninstalled this game in the first place was because when I used to play it I was in a squad and as our tanks/planes individually had a rank of about 2.0 stars, we went up against tanks/planes that had a 4.0-5.0 star rating (this means they're much more powerful). But, what you can do is set up another War Thunder/ account so you can play it as a different person, therefore you will have a new game data and everything will have been restarted. So, the initial answer to this question is no.

Okay, when I say I know that you cannot delete your War Thunder account and niether can you restart any of your game progress, or delete your game save data, as it is all backed up onto the Gaijin's game data 'cloud', or wherever they keep everyone's data.
